CHURCH GROWTH (Pursue aggressive church plant and explosive numerical growth)

  1. Launch the “Every Town and Every Village a Church’ project and give minimal support towards the church plant i.e., free tracts, signage, architectural drawing, build Pavilions, Legacy Temple project promotion, etc.
  2. Pursue explosive numerical growth through aggressive community evangelism (revive door-to-door evangelism)
  3. Run annual Church Growth and Church Health Conference and other related events
  4. Introduce a course on Church Growth at the Bible College (AGTS)
  5. Establish strategic churches to win special categories of people (e.g. Middle-Class AGIC), French Community, Abled Differently people, targeted tribes, etc.
  6. Plant more foreign churches

CHURCH HEALTH (Growing healthy and vibrant churches/Ministries, Departments

and Agencies)

  1. Transform our churches, ministries, agencies, and departments into healthy and vibrant local churches, ministries, agencies, and departments.
  2. Establish a Ministry Centre of Excellence at the headquarters and regional offices. E.g.-Library Resource Center, Counselling for Ministers, etc.
  3. Empower our churches to be healthy churches through Annual Church Growth and Church Health Conferences etc.
  4. Build the capacity of Pastors to produce healthy churches
  5. Effectively disciple new converts (re-look at our new converts class materials)
  6. Equip our local churches to plant more churches

Pastors’ Welfare

a. Launch a Rural Pastors’ Welfare and Missions Endowment Fund

b. Encourage relatively strong churches to adopt seemingly struggling ones/pastors (will give special recognition to churches who do that). Launch the “Love Your Neighbour Campaign

c. Encourage pastors to do personal investments for a prosperous future

d. Teach financial management and preparing for retirement at Bible Schools, Council meetings, etc.

e. Provide Support for the Vulnerable in the Ministry-e.g. retired ministers, pastors widows, and orphans (eg. free medical screening/ treatment, monthly Stipend support, encouraging and ensuring former churches support them, etc.

f. Agric Support for Rural Pastors who are into Farming (fertilizer, capacity building)

g. General Council to do investments for pastors’ welfare

h. Promote pastor’s welfare as EP members visit churches and at the Deacons Annual Conference

i. Ensure better working conditions and retirement packages for pastors

j. Encourage Business Owners in AG to put rural pastors on their payroll

k. Encourage individual members to do the same

l. On Missions Day and at General and Regional Council meetings, play a brief documentary of struggling pastors

m. Organize Periodic Free Medical Screening/ Treatment for Pastors & Spouses

n. Encourage members to donate material items to support rural pastors

Human Resource Development

i. Institutionalize Capacity building at all levels. Eg. District, Region, National, local church, Bible School, departmental levels, etc.)

ii. Review the Bible School curriculum and add on to make our pastors/ministers relevant and more effective in the 21st century

iii. Review entry requirements to attract quality Human capital

iv. Give our pastors and wives exposure

v. Institutionalize Orientation courses for all elected

vi. Establish an educational scholarship fund for rural pastors who desire to further their education but don’t have the means

vii. Resource the Bible Schools to churn out quality human capital

viii. Seminars for categories of leaders. e.g, Associate Pastors, Pastors about to retire, Pastors under 40, Tent Ministers, Local Church officials, etc.

ix. Institute Annual Awards for pastors deserving laity

x. Collaborate with foreign universities to offer heavily subsidized tertiary education for our pastors e.g., Accent College, etc

Infrastructural Development

  1. Construction of the International Convention Centre (to commemorate the Centenary celebration) christened AG Centenary Village
  2. Assisting Regions and Local Churches in various forms to put up decent regional offices and local church buildings to enable them to fulfill their mandate with excellence (eg. will offer free architectural drawings etc)
  3. Launch/promote the nationwide construction of Legacy Temples named after sponsors/Go and build a temple in your village Campaign
  4. Encourage major depts to build a temple in a village (M.M, W.M, Y.M, etc)
  5. Build needed infrastructure for Bible Schools, AG hospitals, AGTV, AG Care, AGlHL
  6. Build a new State of the art hospital

      Revive AG Professional Network and make it fully functional to involve the laity in church administration 

Relevance in National Development

  1. Establish a political incubator to encourage and disciple members to go into secular politics
  2. Hold periodic meetings with members in politics/public service to discuss how AG can support their course and nation-building and vice versa
  3. Get involved in major social action activities (e.g. build facilities for vulnerable in society, Infrastructure at a Psychiatric hospital, etc)
  4. Resource AG Care to deliver better services to meet the socio-economic needs of the vulnerable in society.

    4. During Retirement services, categories of recognition awards will be presented depending on the position of the retiree, the number of years served, significant achievements, etc.

    6. Give our deceased national leaders special (state) funerals. E.g. EP members, etc.
  1. REFORMS (Administrative and Structural reforms)

Institutionalize professionalism in church administration

  • Launch church admin guide and pastors manual (Effective church administration guide Code of Ethics, AG best practices, Policy guidelines, etc.)
  • Ensure and encourage the employment of professionals at all levels to run our national, regional, and local church offices
  • Launch a Strategic Development Plan to transform the organization
  • Digitize our entire operations
  • Publish all resolutions in a booklet
  • Introduce structural reforms necessary for growth and progress.
  • Repackage our departments and ministries to increase participation in their activities.

5. REPOSITION (As the Leading Pentecostal Church)

Show demonstrable leadership on all fronts
