Rev. David C. Vespa, 79, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 13th, 2019, after a long illness. His ministry with the Assemblies of God spanned 58 years, including 40 years (1966 – 2006) as a foreign missionary in Ghana, W. Africa. He served in Bible College ministry, in training of pastors and church leaders, along with church planting.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Maryann Vespa, daughter Valerie Killin and her husband Wade, daughter Brenda Mahar and her husband Rev. Pat Mahar, son David Vespa and his wife Julie, six grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at Victory Church, 1401 Griffin Rd., Lakeland, Florida on Saturday, March 23rd, 2019. Visitation will begin at 10 am, the service will start at 11 am, followed by the interment at Glen Abby Memorial Gardens, Auburndale, Florida.
