Retirement service has been held for Rev. Prof. Frederick Kwasi Kyereko and Rev. Mrs. Rosemond Kyereko. The ceremony which took place on 16th February, 2019, at the Auditorium of Assemblies of God Theological Seminary (AGTS), Kormantse-Saltpond, brought together many ministers of the gospel and well-wishers in Ghana and across the globe. Among the dignitaries present for the occasion were the General Superintendent, Rev. Prof. Paul Frimpong-Manso and other E.P. Officers
In his goodwill message, Rev. Prof. Paul Frimpong-Manso eulogized the achievements of the couple for the past years in various capacities. He further acknowledged that Rev. Prof. Kyereko and Rev.Mrs. Kyereko have served the church for the past 35 years and 11 years respectively in their pastoral ministry. Rev.Prof. Frimpong-Manso also praised the couple for their faithful stewardship, humility, dedication and exemplary leadership in shaping the direction of AGTS, Saltpond campus, as well as the various churches and agencies of the Assemblies of God, Ghana that they have been associated with. He further opined that their strategic engagements have contributed immensely in propelling the growth of Assemblies of God, Ghana. Rev. Prof. Frimpong-Manso concluded in his message that the “Pastors and members of the Assemblies of God fraternity in Ghana extends their profound gratitude to the Almighty God for your faithfulness and dedicated services in God’s vineyard. Congratulations and wish you good health, long life and a fulfilling retirement”.
Other ministers also took turns to recognize the good works of Rev. Prof. Kyereko and wife in their goodwill messages. Among these ministers include Rev.Dr. Harry S.M. PROFILE OF REV. PROF. FREDERICK KWASI KYEREKO
Rev. Professor Frederick Kyereko was born on 14th October, 1951 at Akim Oda to the late Mr. Frederick Kwame Owusu Kyereko and the late Madam Agnes Akua Frimpomaah of Prahkrom. He attended Class one and two at Akim Oda AME Zion Primary School, class three at Samreboi Methodist Primary School in the Western Region, returned to Akim Oda and continued from class four to Form three at Akim Oda Presbyterian Primary and Middle Boys School from 1957 to 1965.
Between 1966 and 1971, he was admitted at Oda Secondary School and graduated with Ordinary level Certificate. He registered at Institute of Professional Studies now University of Professional Studies and had Certificates in RSA II AND III and Exemptions in some courses in AIA part I from 1971 to 1973. Rev. Professor Kyereko accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and personal Saviour in 1973. Between the period 1974 and 1975, he worked as a clerk at Limb Fitting Centre under the Ministry of Health, Accra. He also worked as an Accounts Officer at Lower Akim Wood Products, Accra between 1976 and 1980. It was during this period of his work that he married his wife, Miss. Rosemond Kwabea Darko on 31st December, 1978. And two years later, received the call of God into full time ministry.

1998-2004: Served as the National or General Treasurer of Assemblies of God Ghana, and Executive Presbytery Officer. During his tenure as the national treasurer, the General Superintendent sent the Regional Superintendent of Greater Accra and him to Israel A/G church in 2000, to solicit financial support to revive AGLC which was in a distress state. The mission was very successful.
In 2003 they travelled as Executive Presbytery Officers to the Headquarters of Assemblies of God, Springfield, USA to seek financial assistance to build a headquarters for the church. Even though, this agenda failed but God in his own time has done it through the current officers.
2005-2010: Attended Pan Africa Theological Seminary, Lome, Togo and graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy in Theological Studies (PhD) Certificate
2006-2015: Engaged as Ghana’s Co-ordinator of Africa Theological Services, United States of America
2006-2015: Member of the Board of Governors of West Africa Advance School of Theology, Lome, Togo
2007-2011: Member of the Board of Governors of Education Board
2012- 2013: Affiliation for Assemblies of God Theological Seminary was sought and granted in 2013 by Global University, USA.

PROFILE OF REV. MRS. ROSEMOND KYEREKO
Rev. Mrs. Rosemond Kyereko was born on March 23, 1952 at Begoro to Alex Kwaku Essuman Darko and Madam Augustina Owusu Damea of blessed memory. She had her basic education at Begoro Presbyterian Girls’ Primary School from 1958 to 1963. She went to Koforidua to stay with her eldest brother Nana Addo Korie and over there she started her Middle School education at Sarkodie L/A from 1963 to 1964 and continued at Mampong Girls’ School from 1965 to 1967, where she obtained Middle School Leaving Certificate.
Between 1968 and 1971, Rosemond attended Begoro Women’s Training College and obtained ‘A’ 4 year certificate. As a professional teacher she taught at the following places:
- Kwahu Hweehwee L/A Primary School and Kwahu Bepong L/A Primary School (1971 -1973)
- Datus Preparatory School, Bubuashie -Accra (1974-1976)
- Independence Avenue ‘2’ Girls’ Middle School, Accra-Okaikoi (1976 to 1978)
- Kaneshie West ‘3’ and ‘4’ Middle School, Accra (1978-1985)
Rev. Mrs. Rosemond Kyereko became converted in 1975 in Accra. And shortly after that she attended Maranatha Bible School at Kimbu Boys’ Middle School premises-where she was trained as an evangelist. Later, she joined the Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) at Kaneshie Methodist Girls’ Middle School, where she was trained as a Child Evangelist, and an active member of CEF till date.
It was at one CEF training programme that she met her husband Mr. Frederick Kwasi Kyereko, now Rev. Prof. F. K. Kyereko. Later they joined North Kaneshie A/G and got married there, which was blessed by their pastors, Rev. Dr Harry Insaidoo (Rtd) and Pastor Kimuei from Brazil, on December 3I, 1978.
As a child evangelist, she started a Bible club at Kaneshie West ‘3’ and ‘4’ Middle School, which later gave birth to Emmanuel A/G at Bubuashie in Accra in 1981. In 1986, she left active teaching to start a nursery school on the premises of Emmanuel A/G, Bubuashie to serve the children in the church and the community.
In 1991, they had to leave Emmanuel A/G to serve at SGBC (now AGTS). They later left for further studies in the Netherlands. From 1993 to 1995, she joined her husband in Netherlands where he was pursuing his Master’s Programme at Tyndale Theological Seminary. In 1995, they came back to Ghana and were posted to the defunct Southern Ghana Bible College (SGBC), now Assemblies of God Theological Seminary (AGTS), Kormantse/Saltpond, where they have stayed until her retirement.
While at North Kaneshie she served as the Women’s Ministry Organizer, Sunday School Teacher for Children and the Missionettes, Sunday School Superintendent and a teacher for New Converts’ course class. Later in Emmanuel A/G, Bubuashie, she also served as Women’s Ministry Adviser and Children’s Sunday School/Missionettes teacher. She later established a Good News Club to serve children in the church and the Bubuashie community.
At the Bible School, Rev. Mrs. Rosemond Kyereko registered and completed the following courses:
- Christian Workers’ Training (1997).
- Ministers’ Wives Course (2007-2008).
- Diploma of theology (2005-2007).
- Bachelor of Theology [2007-2009).
Rev. Mrs. Kyereko also served in the following capacities:
- Matron for SGBC (1997-2010).
- Facilitator for Ministers’ Wives seminars.
- Lecturer at SGBC/AGTS (2009-2018).
She also established a Good News Club to serve the children of Saltpond/Kormantse Community. They met every Saturday in the afternoon from 4pm to 6pm to study the Bible. On Sunday mornings, some of the students went to evangelize to traders at the Saltpond market, through a Market Evangelism Ministry which she established. This has resulted in low patronage of the market on Sundays.
