President Nana Akuffo Addo has attributed the peace and progress of the nation to the goodness of God.
Hon. Felix Nii Narh, Tema Municipal Mayor, who read the President’s speech, said, “Our existence as a people all these years, is by the grace of God, and we therefore have to be grateful to Him”.
He said the nation should continue to look up to the Lord for wisdom and strength as we pursue the agenda of improving upon the lives of the populace.
Ghana has indeed been at peace for the past 60 years, and it’s only fair and appropriate that we as a people, give God a lasting monument to show our gratitude. Hence the plan to construct a national cathedral. Even though our critics are against this gesture, we believe it is a step in the right direction.
He congratulated the Assemblies of God, Ghana, for contributing to the national development in the areas of Health, Education, and morality. He commended Tema C4 AG for assisting in clean-up programmes within the Tema Municipality.
Hon. Narh, wished the church a happy 50th anniversary.
