Rev Michael Ayesu, the Regional Superintendent of Greater Accra West Region of Assemblies of God, Ghana, cut the sod on behalf of the General Superintendent Rev Stephen Wengam for the commencement of 20 legacy temples with a two-bedroom mission house for each temple. This ceremony took place at Nsuobri in the Amasaman District of A/G on Tuesday, 21st May, 2024. The project is sponsored by The First Sky Group under the visionary leadership of Dr. Deacon Eric Kutortse.

Regional and district Executives, and Committee Members present for the Sod-Cutting Ceremony

This is not the first time Dr. Kutortse has sponsored the construction of legacy temples. In the past, he single-handedly built 60 temples for A/G Ghana. The Legacy Temple project is a component of the vision of the General Superintendent, Rev Stephen Wengam, under the Transformation Agenda, which is anchored on Micah 4:1-2.

The legacy temple project is a call on individuals, families, groups, local churches and departments as well as agencies to sponsor the construction of temples for newly planted churches, especially in rural settings, or build for already existing local churches that can’t build their own temple.

Since November 2022, close to 60 legacy temples have been built by individuals and families, including the General Superintendent, Rev. Stephen Wengam, and his wife, Lady Monica Dela Wengam. We are all encouraged to respond to this “Macedonian” call.
